PURESURFERS / FOR THE LOCAL SURF COMMUNITY
Your break.
On your website.
A little piece of the coast for your surf school, shop or local website. Pick a spot, make it yours, and give people a reason to check back.
01 Make it yours
02 Your live preview
380px wide · responsiveThis is the real widget using available shared guidance. Missing or older data is labeled. The preview never invents a forecast.
A daily reason to return.
Help students check their lesson beach. Put a local forecast beside your shop hours. Give the people who already trust you a useful starting point before they drive to the coast.
Built to fit.
Choose a small sidebar card or a larger forecast panel. Both resize to the space available and use the same topo artwork as our spot guides. Daylight turns the contour lines dark against a warm, light background.
A clear path to more.
Every widget links to the selected PureSurfers spot page for the full forecast, camera links and guide. The supplied code includes visible attribution below the widget as well.
A few useful details
What do the wave numbers mean?
The wave range shows significant wave height (Hs) at available forecast model cells, consistent with the map’s model-cell view. It is not a measurement of breaking wave faces. The daily outlook averages available 06:00–19:00 Pacific hours and shows how many hours are present. Wind is modeled coastal wind; tide is a nearby station prediction relative to MLLW.
Will it update by itself?
The widget reads PureSurfers’ shared forecast cache when loaded and checks again after 15 minutes while visible. The source retrieval time stays attached to the data. If guidance is missing or older, the widget says so and keeps the full spot-page link available.
How do I install it?
Choose your spot, layout, theme and units. Copy the embed code into your website’s HTML/embed block, save, then preview the published page. A text-only editor may display the code instead of the widget; choose an HTML block. If your site restricts embeds, allow frames from puresurfers.com.
Does it use visitors’ location or accounts?
No. The widget shows the spot you select. It requests no location permission, uses no account and sets no widget cookies or local-storage identifiers. Ordinary web-server logs still apply.
Can I recommend PureSurfers to my readers?
Yes. Share your experience and link to the guide or map you find useful. The generated widget attribution is a visible, nofollow link; using a widget does not require a separate endorsement.
