Crescent Beach and Enderts Beach offer quite different ways to meet this coast. The National Park Service describes Crescent as a day-use shoreline reached from Enderts Beach Road; its Enderts guide describes a cliff-backed beach and trail approach. Treat those as two different outings, not interchangeable car-park pins. Facilities at Enderts are concentrated at the parking area rather than on the beach itself.
Before choosing between the Crescent City entries, compare the full forecast timeline and the source time. The wave number on a regional panel is a model reference, not a promise that the wave at a jetty or beside a rock will have that face height. An area marker is a starting point for a beach check; it is not a surveyed takeoff or a route through a cliff. The detailed source panel is part of the surf check, not fine print.

Keep the approach in the plan
The park safety guidance highlights changing tides, cold water and unexpectedly large shoreward waves. The National Weather Service also explains why heavy beach logs can become dangerous when moved by waves. Read the shoreline before walking down it and use current park notices for trail conditions; a quiet gap between sets is not evidence that the whole approach stays dry.
Compare South Beach and one of the more exposed-looking area references at the same hour, then verify what is actually breaking from a legitimate public viewpoint. Save observations with date, direction and period. A useful note describes what happened, rather than upgrading a single good session into a permanent rule.
